Registration will commence on 28the December and remain open until 12th January. Successful applicants will notified by 26 January.

FORWORD:

Saint Goueno Masters is a supporting event running in parallel with the Saint Goueno round of the Championnat de France de la Montagne (CFM). Therefore spaces are limited and by invitation only.

The Hillclimb is for a distance of 3.2km up a high speed section of steep sided tree lined closed public road (D14).

All drivers must hold either an MSUK or MSI competition licence for Hillclimb, race or rally.

Cars must comply with Hillclimb technical regulations of their home country, drivers of cars manufactured post 1977 are required to wear a HANS device*.

Entries will be selected by the organiser who has sole right to accept or to refuse any entry without justification.

Entry to Saint Goueno Masters:

Following acceptance of your entry by the organising committee, the cost of entry is 280 euros .

Payments will be made on-line using a secure 2 step validation payment application provided by Helloasso for the first time this year.

REGULATIONS / TERMS & CONDITIONS

Acceptance of Regulations / Terms & Conditions:

By submitting the online entry form the driver is deemed to have read understood and accepted all of the following regulations / terms & conditions.

Indemnity:

By submitting the online entry form, the entrant agrees to accept any decision of the organisers including cancellation of the event for any reason, without recourse to any process of law and by doing so will entirely disengage the organisers or their representatives from all responsibility for any financial loss, damage whether to person or property before, during or after the event.

Race Program:

Thursday 31st May 2024 – Paddock opens at 15:00.

Friday 1st June 2024 – Signing on at 14:30, scrutineering from 14:45

Saturday 2nd June 2024 – Practice from 10:00

Sunday 3rd June 2024 – Timed runs from 08:30

ALL TIMES ARE INTENDED AS AN INDICATION ONLY

Eligible cars:

Any car eligible to take part in MSI or MSUK Circuit Race, Rally, Hillclimb or Sprint.

Exceptions: Sand-racing, Buggy and Electric powered cars are not permitted.

Technical regulations:

Cars must comply with the Hillclimb technical requirements of either Motor Sport Ireland or Motorsport UK.

Additional Technical Requirements:

If not already required by MSUK or MSI the car must also comply with the following:

Tyres:

Tyres are free of regulation but must be fit for purpose.

Fire Extinguisher:

All cars must be fitted with a fire extinguisher in date (2 years maximum):

Closed, sports convertible and 7esque cars; handheld 2kg (minimum requirement).

Single seaters/sports racers; plumbed in 2kg (minimum requirement).

Operation of the extinguisher must be easily performed from the driver’s seat whist wearing harness.

Harness requirements:

As per MSUK or MSI Hillclimb regulations and must be compatible with HANS device* if applicable (post 1977 cars*).

Standard Road Cars:

*As per MSUK or MSI Hillclimb regulations for road going classes. If UK or Irish regulations allow the use of an original-equipment lap and diagonal belt then a HANS device* is not required. If, however a full harness is fitted then a HANS device* is mandatory.

Rear view mirrors:

At least two rear view mirrors must be fitted … (although unlikely, on French Hillclimb’s overtaking is permitted).

Towing points:

Clearly marked towing points front and rear. They must be robust and suitable for purpose.

The organisers will not be held responsible for any injury or damage during towing or recovery.

Exhaust / Noise:

All cars must be fitted with a silencer and comply with the noise limits.

Drive by noise testing is conducted on the course at a distance of 5m from the track.

Maximum noise levels:

Closed and GT cars: 105dB.

Open Cars: 110 dB.

Forced induction engines:

A coefficient of 1.7 is applied to the engine capacity for forced induction engines.

Timing Strut:

A beam breaker : timing strut is not required.

Ground Sheet:

All competitors must provide a hydrocarbon proof ground sheet to go under the competition car in the paddock to avoid potential environmental pollution (The Paddock is located on pasture land).

Drivers clothing:

HANS Device:

Correctly fitted HANS device to be worn by drivers of all cars manufactured post 1977*.

*Standard production cars fitted with original equipment lap and diagonal seat belts are exempt, however if fitted with a harness a HANS device will be required.

Helmet:

Compliant with current MSUK or MSI Hillclimb regulations.

Race suit:

Compliant with current MSUK or MSI Hillclimb requirements.

Gloves: Drivers of all cars must wear FIA approved gloves.

Balaclava: Drivers of all cars must wear an FIA approved balaclava.

Underwear:

Drivers of closed and open cars to wear an FIA approved long sleeved vest.

Drivers of single seaters and sports racing cars to wear an FIA approved long sleeved vest and long-johns.

ENTRY FEES:

The entry fee is 280 euro is to be paid before the 1st March 2024 (To allow enough time for a replacement driver to organise their journey and accommodation for the event).

Non-payment without notice will be considered as withdrawal from the event and the invitation will be offered to the next driver on the waiting list.

The entry fee includes:

Entry for car and one driver.

Competition numbers.

Camping in paddock, one tow/support vehicle per entry only.

The hospitality listed below and transport will be subject to public health and or budgetary constraints at the time and is not contractual. No reimbursement or discount will be made in the event of substitutions, cancellations or modifications.

Thursday welcome buffet and entertainment for team.

Entrance to Festival Déjanté on all nights, driver and up to 3 team members.

Friday evening meal for driver plus one (additional meal tickets sold separately – 14 euro each).

Access to the Saturday evening drivers meal (tickets are sold separately – 14 euro each).

Sunday Masters wind-down party and buffet for driver and team.

Entry to: Sh!te Sh!rt World Championship 2024.

Shuttle Bus Service (Navette) from paddock or your gite and the village – Festival Déjanté / centre of the village.

Assistance with booking Gite accommodation in the area.

A warm Breton welcome guaranteed 😉.

Available 18:00 hrs till the early hours.

For those in Gite accommodation we will set up a WhatsApp messaging service direct to the Navette drivers, Anne Lessard who will have booked your accommodation will provide details of this.

Navette to the start line, for the teams who require start line assistance.

RUNNING OF THE EVENT:

The official time will be local time.

Drivers will be called in batches to line up on the pre-grille.

Upon exiting the paddock drivers will be allocated by a marshal a pre-grille number painted on the tarmac. The public address call for the Masters Drivers will be in English.

Convoys will follow the clerk of the course to the start line queue.

Cars will depart at 30 second intervals.

Upon the green light the driver must leave the start line within 10 seconds.

After the finish line cars will slow down and continue on the return road to the paddock.

The speed limit to the start line and the return road is 50 kph for the safety of residents, spectators and officials.

Drivers must observe the local traffic laws.

The Gendarmerie will be present and if required will enforce the law.

Runs may or may not be timed.

Tyre warming:

Tyre warming by either heated blankets or spinning of the driven wheels is not permitted. This applies anywhere between the paddock and before the start line.

PADDOCK (Parc-Pilot):

Masters paddock spaces are allocated in advance, Masters marshals will direct you to your allocated space on arrival.

Entrants are entitled to one tow vehicle, one trailer and one competition car only.

The total length of the rig is required when completing the entry form in order for the spaces in the paddock to be allocated accordingly.

NO Additional vehicles in the paddock are permitted in the paddock.

Water: Mains drinking water is located at gate 1.

Waste: The paddock field is grazed by livestock, please be extra careful not drop any small metallic items. For your convenience segregated waste skips are located at gate 1.

Bags will be provided for recycling waste (yellow) and no recyclable (black) a list of what can be placed in each bag will be available, please respect the waste segregation system.

Electricity: 220v single phase is available and is intended for the use of power tools only and not to power motorhomes. Sockets are French domestic with earth. Sockets are limited and offered on a first come first served basis.

Toilet & Shower Facilities: Mobile toilet and washing facilities are provided in the paddock for the use of competitors and team members. These are also located at gate 1.

SCRUTINEERING:

Scrutineering will be conducted in your paddock space for Masters competitors by either MSUK or MSI scrutineers. Scrutineering will be carried out on the Friday during the signing on process.

TRACK FLAGS:

RED Waved = Stop Immediately & await instructions from marshal.

YELLOW Single waved = Reduce speed, do not over take, expect to change direction, danger on track ahead.

YELLOW Double Waved = Reduce speed, do not over take, expect to change direction or stop, track ahead partially or totally blocked. Displayed at marshal post directly before obstruction.

Blue Waved = Slower car must allow faster car behind to overtake.

RED/YELLOW Stationary = Warning slippery surface ahead!

Red Flag /Re-Run policy:

A re-run may be authorised at the discretion of the director of the course, it is not a right nor guaranteed and is unlikely.

Delays:

In the event of a serious delay the French Championship event will take priority.

Advertising:

All cars are required to display the event sponsors stickers in a prominent position.

Photography:

The organisers reserve the right to use the car entry photographs provided by invited drivers, and photos taken during the event for marketing and promotional purposes – this includes publishing photographs on social media.

PRIZE GIVING – AWARDS:

Awards will be presented on the podium in the paddock.

Class winners are required by the organisers to wear their race suit for the presentation and photographs.

AMENDMENTS:

The provisions of these regulations, terms and conditions may be amended if necessary without notice and at any time. Any bulletin issued after the beginning of the administrative checks must be signed by the Stewards of the Meeting. These bulletins will be posted in the Saint Goueno Masters marque
